BWTHYN HIR IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR RELAXATION AMIDST THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY OF A RURAL SETTING, JUST 500 YARDS FROM THE COAST – PERFECT FOR COUPLES OR FAMILIES ALIKE.
One of two cottages here at Porthiddy Farm, Bwthyn Hir (awarded 5* from Visit Wales) is just 500 yards from Abereiddy Beach – an easy 10 minute walk away. The unspoilt Pembrokeshire coastline awaits you!
Those looking for peace and quiet will relish the rural locale at this long, spacious, single-storeyed Welsh cottage.
Upon your arrival at the cottages, one of the first things the owners recommend to do is make your way down to the beach on foot, across the neighbouring fields at Porthiddy Farm West, through the rough common in the valley and stop and take in the views of the bay.
This short walk will take you past old cottages built for fishermen and workers at the old slate quarry (now the “Blue Lagoon”) and is instantly uplifting, particularly if you’ve had far to come. It is a fantastic spot to catch a spectacular sunset as you look out west from the beach.
