Lantern Cottage is a delightful charming cottage with many characterful features, set right by the river in Solva, just 3 miles from to St Davids and with private parking.
If you are looking for a traditional Pembrokeshire cottage, look no further than Lantern Cottage – its full of character and charm being over 200 years old. The charm starts outside Lantern Cottage with the beautiful babbling river right at the bottom of the garden for you to enjoy – a perfect spot for alfresco breakfast or an evening drink. As soon as you step inside you will find character in each room from the low-beamed ceilings, log burning stove, characterful bedrooms to local art and locally made rugs.
The local owners have lovingly redecorated the whole property creating a charming holiday cottage for all to enjoy. The new kitchen includes a washing machine and dishwasher – a perfect spot for preparing your holiday meals. Dine in the characterful dining room with log burning stove – perfect for lingering over a glass of wine and planning your next day ahead. The lounge has comfy sofas to relax, as well as a Smart TV. Upstairs there is a shower room on the mid floor and 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor – 2 doubles, one ensuite bathroom and 1 small bunk bedroom which is best suited for children. The property benefits from a private off road parking space.
The banks of the River flow directly alongside the gardens – approximately 10 yards from the cottage. SPECIAL CARE IS NEEDED WITH CHILDREN as there is no fence at the bottom of the garden – it leads directly into the river. As the cottage is a period property, the doorways are low. If you are tall you will need to bend your head to enter.
This is a character property – doorways into some of the rooms are unusually low – please mind your head
