Each month, a member of our small team here at St Davids Escapes chooses an Escape that’s caught their eye recently, and we ask them all about it.
This month, it’s assistant Jill’s turn, and she’s chosen the stunning new Paris House in the heart of St Davids.
Hi Jill! So, why Paris House?
Paris House is new to our portfolio, and as soon as I saw it I knew it was something special. It’s the perfect space for family and friends to come together and have a really good time together, while there’s enough room to have some time to yourself!
What do you like most about it?
The location is brilliant, but I’d actually say the stand-out part for me is the kitchen/dining room. With the large table, beautiful kitchen, and the breakfast bar, I can just imagine the conversations and giggles to be had over a leisurely breakfast, or evenings spent cooking and having a glass of something lovely with friends.
Are there any smaller details about Paris House that have caught your eye?
It’s dog friendly, so all members of the family are welcome! Oh and all of the double rooms have at least kingsize beds, even super king in two of them, just adding to the luxury.
Let’s imagine you’ve had a day adventuring on the coast, how are you spending an evening at Paris House?
I’d definitely start with a soak in the incredibly comfy-looking bath, then join my friends out on the terrace for drinks. We’d then head into the kitchen/diner for dinner, whether it’s home-cooked or a lovely takeaway from Saffron just down the road. Dinner would be followed by table tennis, darts, and bean bag lounging in the games room.
Ahh, it sounds so fun I might actually have to book it!
What else would you get up to during your stay?
Paris House comes with a 10% discount on trips with Falcon Boats, so a trip around Ramsey Island is a must! Then a walk round to Porthclais on the coast path from St Justinians for ice cream at Porthclais Kiosk, and hop on the Celtic Coaster back to Paris House!
If you prepared a picnic in that amazing kitchen, where would you take it?
Oh! Caerfai Beach without a doubt! It’s walkable from Paris House, or easy enough to park. There’s an ideal picnic spot above the beach overlooking the bay, followed by a dip in the sea on a sunny day.
Paris House sleeps 8 people and welcomes 2 dogs. A week’s stay begins at £585. Click here to find out more.
