You’ve arrived at your Pembrokeshire cottage for 3 days of relaxation and fun on the coast, so how could you spend your time? If you want to pack as much as you can into your short break, this guide is here to help you plan your long weekend, taking in 3 incredible parts of Pembrokeshire.
Day 1 – Tenby
Morning – Dennis Cafe & Castle Beach
On your first morning, head to Tenby for a day at the seaside. Set yourself up for a day of exploring with a fantastic breakfast at Dennis Cafe overlooking Castle Beach. Once you’re full, take a stroll on the beach and perhaps head into town to browse some of the quirky shops. Jago is one of our absolute favourite places to pick up presents and a little something for yourself.
Afternoon – Loafley & a Boat Trip
Loafley is a must visit when in Tenby, and you can’t miss it. The smells from this delightful bakery will waft down the street to greet you before you see it! Pick up some picnic bits from here before heading off on an adventure with Tenby Boat Trips. Depending on the time of year, choose from Seal Safaris, trips to Caldey Island or a RIB ride to see some wildlife.
Evening – The Qube
The Qube Restaurant and Cellar Bar provide the perfect venue for enjoying some incredible food and drinks while sharing stories about your day in Tenby. Their seafood is local and delicious, and steaks are simply beautiful. On a fine evening, take a stroll along the waterfront before heading back to your Pembrokeshire cottage.

For history buffs – TENBY CASTLE
Day 2 – St Davids & Solva
Morning – TYF Adventure
Get your day on the St Davids Peninsula off to a thrilling start with a coasteering experience with TYF Adventure. Coasteering is said to have originated on the Pembrokeshire coast, and it is certainly a unique and epic way of experiencing this beautiful coastline while getting some adrenaline kicks too! Afterwards, come down with a coffee in TYF’s cool and friendly booking office cafe.
Afternoon – 35 Main Street & Solva Woollen Mill
You will have worked up quite the appetite in the morning, so best to head over to Solva for lunch at the fantastic 35 Main Street. The menu features favourites like fish and chips and steak sandwiches as well as lovely specials such as locally caught lobster. Afterwards, take a walk (or hop in the car!) a mile down the valley to Middle Mill, and visit Solva Woollen Mill, the oldest working woollen mill in Pembrokeshire. Watch the looms weave and step into the peaceful shop selling gorgeous produce both local and from further afield.
Evening – Grain & Whitesands Beach
Head back into St Davids for the evening, and order your takeaway pizza from Grain (we recommend the Stumble Head, featuring smoked mackerel, for something a bit different.) Enjoy a pint of local craft beer while you wait or one of their stunning coffees if you’re in need of a pick me up. Take your pizza to Whitesands Beach, and enjoy it as you watch the sun go down and look back on another fabulous day spent on the Pembrokeshire coast.

Pwnc is a great place to enjoy some breakfast as you get your bearings in the beautiful Newport Pembrokeshire. Tuck in to a daily special and fantastic coffee, as any little ones you have with you enjoy their awesome climbing wall! Afterwards, time to do a spot of shopping. If you’re into your antiques, head to the Carningli Centre where we could spend hours taking in the incredible array of goodies they have on offer.
Afternoon – Newport Sands & The Golden Lion
Newport Sands is also known as Traeth Mawr, which means Big Beach, and for good reason! Enjoy exploring its mile of flat sand which will be buzzing in the summer and completely peaceful in winter months. After your walk, head to The Golden Lion for a pint in the beer garden in the sunshine or by the roaring fire on chillier afternoons.
Evening – Tides Kitchen and Wine Bar
Round off your 3 days in Pembrokeshire and enjoy local ingredients prepared to perfection at Tides Kitchen and Wine Bar.
