Or maybe you’re all booked in and looking for things to do that will keep the kids entertained, give you a chance to let your hair down and make sure you’ve spent quality family time together. Here are some activities we know you’ll love!

‘A WEE QUEST’ AT PEMBROKE CASTLE

Looking for family fun this Half Term? Head to Pembroke Castle, where your guide, Isla, will bring history to life with captivating children’s stories. Join her on a medieval journey through the castle, mastering the skills of fortress defense, nation conquering, dragon slaying, and even saintly heroics!

 

 

ROCH VILLAGE PANTOMIME – CINDERELLA AT VICTORIA HALL

The Roch Village Pantomime returns with the beloved classic Cinderella. Join in for an evening of laughter, drama, and local talent as the tale unfolds on stage.

Performances take place on the 27th and 28th of February, with two shows on Saturday, 1st March, including a special afternoon performance for children and an evening show for adults.

Tickets are available at Victoria Inn or by calling Chris at 07717 862947. Don’t miss the chance to cheer for Cinderella and witness the hilariously dreadful Ugly Sisters in action.

EVENTS AT ORIEL Y PARC, ST DAVIDS

Join the search for a mischievous baby dragon as she explores the St Davids area from 8th February to 1st March 2025. Follow clues on the Oriel y Parc Facebook page and take part in the Quest for the Lost Baby Dragon family trail from 22nd February to 2nd March to unlock a secret code and win a prize.

Get creative with Make & Take sessions, designing treasure maps (26th February) or crafting dragon headdresses (22nd–28th February, excluding 26th).

The adventure culminates in the St Davids Dragon Parade on 1st March at 2pm, where the baby dragon makes her grand return in a vibrant community celebration.

 

Get up close with bugs

Come and meet (and eat!) some of the world’s best bugs at The Bug Farm, St Davids. This is a unique February half term activity that we’re sure you won’t forget. Get to know some fascinating invertebrates in the Tropical Bug Zoo, head to the Nature Hut for games, learning and crafts for the kids, and then finish the day off with a delicious meal at Grub Kitchen – yum!

 

Go Crabbing in Solva

Crabbing is an activity ‘for the kids’, that will soon have the adults completely engrossed too. All you need is a bucket, crab line, and the perfect bait to get started. Fair warning though, things can get competitive!

Remember that Solva Quay is a working harbour with boats coming and going. If you’re unsure where is best to set up for an afternoon’s crabbing, ask someone and they’ll point you in the right direction.

 

Relax at the Torch Theatre

During February Half Term, the Torch Theatre in Milford are showing family films including Dog Man in a relaxed environment, so even the smallest members of the family can enjoy a trip to the cinema. On 26th February there is the Puppet Spectacular Glow Show, a captivating one-hour UV puppet show featuring a cast of colourful characters that will delight audiences of all ages.

 

Get up close with animals

Book an animal experience at Folly Farm and get to know the wonderful animals that call this farm home! Feed the lions, meet the rhinos and gaze at the giraffes.

Manor Park Wildlife Park also offer animal experiences and chances to ‘Be A Keeper’ for the day! Choose from gibbons, red pandas and even tigers on these incredible experiences that you and your little ones will remember for a long time to come!

Step back in time at Castell Henllys

Nestled in countryside in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is an Iron Age Fort, recreated where it would have stood 2000 years ago. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about how our Welsh ancestors lived in a fun, interactive experience. Book to explore the fort and have a guided tour with one of the tribe. Get active at Heatherton World Of Activites

Want to really tire the kids out? Head to Heatherton World of Activities! Enjoy everything from zorbing and inflatable slides to mini golf and go karting for the younger members of the family. For those who want a bit more adrenaline, there’s also paintballing and a tree tops trail! This exciting day out will have you all snoozing in front of the log burner when you get back to your cottage by the sea.

 

Have an adventure

Enjoy the Pembrokeshire coastline to the maximum with a TYF Adventure this February Half Term. With adventures like climbing, coasteering and kayaking on offer, they offer a fabulous way to experience the St Davids Peninsula. If your children are a little younger, they also offer a Rockpool Safari to learn all about the creatures that call this coast home!
