Head out onto the water

See Pembrokeshire’s dramatic coastline from a new perspective in 2025. Choose a wildlife tour, take a fishing trip, or simply enjoy the serenity of being out on the water.

Ramsey Island Boat Trips return in March 2025

Fishing trips with Blue Shark Charters leave regularly from St Justinians

For land lovers, catch a lifeboat launch at St Davids Lifeboat Station—truly a sight to behold.

STARGAZING BY THE SEA

Pembrokeshire’s dark skies are a treasure. Take a starlit walk along Newgale Beach or the Preseli Hills. Don’t forget a thermos of hot chocolate and a blanket for the ultimate stargazing experience.

Have A laugh

Discover the captivating (and slightly questionable) history of St Davids with a Comedy Walking Tour. Blending humor with fascinating tales, this unique guided walk brings the story of Wales’ smallest city to life through witty anecdotes and a playful (sometimes less than historically accurate) take on its past. From legendary saints to local quirks, it’s an entertaining way to explore St Davids in 2025.

Head out on a bike tour

Discover Pembrokeshire’s charm at a leisurely pace on an electric bike tour. Hidden Routes, based in Newport, offers customisable tours that showcase the area’s best-kept secrets while making even the toughest climbs a breeze.

Listen to the dawn chorus

Pembrokeshire at sunrise (and sunset) is Pembrokeshire at its most stunning, in our opinion! In busy times, first light is when you’ll have the popular spots to yourself. Take the time to listen out for the unique dawn chorus here. On an early morning beach walk, you may hear the oystercatchers as their footprints make the first marks in the sand. Or take a walk around Cathedral Close to hear the whole host of birds waking up for another day in this tiny city.

Meet the puffins on Skomer

Puffin season on Skomer begins around April, and usually lasts until July. During this time, a boat trip to land on Skomer is extra special as you can watch these cheeky little birds waddle about. This island is spectacular apart from the puffins too, with Manx Shearwaters, Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises, Seals, Razorbills, Gannets and more!

Eat Local Delights

When in Wales, eat as the Welsh do, right? Definitely! There are lots of classic Welsh dishes to be sampled in this part of the world. There’s seaweed harvested from Pembrokeshire waters from Cår Y Môr, Glamorgan sausages in most of the local pubs, Welsh Rarebit and cawl at cafes. Welshcakes in particular are one of the best snacks around, and if you can’t stop craving them even when you get home, try your hand at making them with this recipe.
