Here on the St Davids Peninsula we are blessed with incredible independent food producers, cool cafes and inspiring places to eat. Here’s our guide to the tastiest food on the peninsula for you to enjoy on the beach, your favourite harbour wall or in the comfort of your holiday cottage.

PORTHCLAIS KIOSK

Serving up fantastic coffee, delicious cakes and of course, locally made ice cream. The perfect stop on a coast path walk, or to take a break from crabbing from the harbour wall! We highly recommend a toastie after a swim.

 

THE SHED FISH & CHIP BISTRO, PORTHGAIN

The Shed serves up some of the most delicious fish and chips in Pembrokeshire, in one of the most beautiful places! Sitting on the harbour wall with food in hand is a must on any visit to the St Davids Peninsula.

 

THE BENCH ICE CREAM PARLOUR, ST DAVIDS

The Bench serve up fantastical ice cream flavours in the heart of St Davids. Also on the menu are milkshakes, hot chocolates and tea and coffee. So they’ve got you covered whatever the weather!

 

WHITESANDS BEACH HOUSE

Your trip to Whitesands is complete with takeaway food and drink from the cafe! Whether it’s chips on the beach or a coffee break on a coast path walk, it’s a cafe much loved by locals and visitors alike.

The Mill offers takeaway all-day breakfast, brunch and light bites, alongside hot drinks and cakes in the centre of St Davids. Perfect for popping out in the morning and returning with coffee and a bacon bap ahead of a day of adventures.

LOSH’S PASTIES

That beautiful smell wafting up the High Street? Freshly baked pasties from Losh’s! Perfect to pack for a coast path walk or to enjoy on the Cross Square watching the world go by.

 

West Point trading is one of St Davids new local stores and cafe selling lots of local Pembrokeshire produce in St Davids, just a short walk from one of our luxury holiday Cottages

 St Davids Peninsula Food Hub

An online collection of the best small producers on the peninsula, and perfect for planning ahead for your holiday. Place an order from various producers online, and collect while you’re here. From homemade cakes, to bottles of local milk, to beautiful veg boxes – it has everything you need to cosy up for the week in your cottage! Order by Thursday and collect on Saturday morning at St Davids Rugby Club.

Bay View Stores, Solva – fresh meat and fish, a fabulous selection of fruit and veg and soon to open a vending machine with fresh milk from Mount Farm.

Gwyn Davies and Son Butchers – Lovely meat, as well as fruit and veg. We recommend the chilli sausages for a BBQ with a kick.
