Things to do in Pembrokeshire this Christmas 2025

It’s that time of year once again. The sunsets over Whitesands Bay in the late afternoon, the cwtches in front of the log burner, and trips to pick up some beautiful bits and pieces in St Davids’ local shops. As November draws to a close, our minds turn to the twinkly lights and warm times with loved ones over Christmas. Here are some fantastic things to do in Pembrokeshire over this festive period.

Special Events in St Davids

St Davids Cathedral at Christmas

The Cathedral is at the centre of advent for the people of St Davids, whether they are religious or simply value the traditions, music and beauty of this majestic place. There are so many events there at this time of year, but two stand out this year. The first is the Christmas Through The Keyhole family trail, from Monday 1st December until Friday 19th December, which sees an interactive trail to help you become part of the retelling of the Christmas Story. Then there a Christmas Spectacular on the 7th December, with two choirs joining forces to put on a show of all your favourite Christmas songs.

Christmas lights switch-on – Saturday 29th November

Just what it says on the tin, with an extra dollop of Christmas cheer. The whole city gathers on Cross Square, sips on mulled wine and watches the lights sparkle on this special night. Some shops tend to open late and the pubs are havens from the coastal chill.

Christmas Markets

St Davids – 29th November

Before the Christmas lights are turned on in the evening, there are two Christmas fairs to enjoy! Park at the top of St Davids and begin by wandering around the stalls at the Oriel Y Parc Outdoor Christmas Market, open from 10am – 3pm. Then carry on down the hill to the Cathedral Christmas Fair, open from 10am.
