Do your bit with a beach clean
Time on a Pembrokeshire beach is a must while you are here. While you’re enjoying the sea air and wonderful views, give something back with a two minute beach clean. Every little helps! Be sure to dispose of your finds safely afterwards.
Grab a flight at Tap & Tân
If you find yourself in Tenby this February, be sure to head to Tap & Tân. If you’ve only got time for a drink, make it a flight of three delicious Tenby Brewing beers. You’ll likely leave with a few cans as souvenirs! If you’re staying for food, enjoy one of their epic BBQ Specials.
Visit Melin Tregwynt
Tucked away between St Davids and Fishguard, near Abermawr beach, you’ll find Melin Tregwynt. This working Welsh woollen mill produces textiles that travel all over the world. Watch the looms weave from Monday – Friday, and visit their beautiful shop to pick up a true slice of Wales. Be sure to pop into their cafe for lunch or afternoon tea while you’re there!
Go to a gig
Spend an evening tapping your feet or getting up and dancing your socks off to some wonderful music! Honey Fungus, a favourite local band, are playing at The Ship Inn in Trefin on Friday 3rd February. Grain in St Davids is hosting an evening with Alisa Tully on Saturday 18th.
Cosy up at The Castle, Little Haven
Little Haven is a beautiful small village on the Pembrokeshire coast. Have a stroll on the beach before settling next to the roaring fire at The Castle and tucking into a great pub lunch, or simply enjoying a pint. On a sunny winters day, the tables outside are a great option for beach views!
Ride along the beach
Enjoy a bucket list favourite by horse riding along a Pembrokeshire beach. Marros Riding Centre is on the border between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, and offers fantastic beach rides. Stop on your way into Pembrokeshire, or make the trip via Tenby for a wander!
Visit Llys-Y-Frân
Llys-Y-Frân is a Pembrokeshire reservoir open to the public for walking, cycling, fishing and loads more. It’s dog friendly, and a great place to spend a morning on or around the water. Be sure to pop into the cafe, which serves some of the best cawl we’ve tasted!
Tuck into a hot chocolate with a view at Wavecrest
Wavecrest is a cafe that sits almost on the beach at Angle. They reopen for 2023 on the 2nd of February, and we cannot wait to have one of their hot chocolates in hand after a chilly walk on the beach! Keep an eye out for their afternoon tea offering for a special occasion.
Have lunch at Pilgrims Cafe
For an exciting lunch offering in the most unsuspecting of places, head to Pilgrims Cafe in St Davids. Nestled alongside the classics like burgers and rolls, they have a menu of weekly specials that’s sure to delight! Think handmade Chicken Gyozas, Cider Braised Pig Cheeks and Tsukane Tofu. Delicious!
Take it all in on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
February is the time of year where glimmers of spring begin to appear along the Pembrokeshire coast path. Plan a walk, fill a thermos, pack some sarnies and head out onto this spectacular route, There’s no shortage of spots to take a break and gaze out at incredible views. Sink into the present moment, and simply take it all in.
