As you approach this idyllic cottage, the mesmerising sea views and rural vistas unfold before your eyes, showcasing the ancient rocky outcrops of Carn Llidi, Penberri, Abereiddi, and Strumble Head Lighthouse. Inside, you’ll find stylish furnishings and thoughtful touches that envelop you in a warm, welcoming ambiance.

In the heart of the cottage, a gourmet kitchen awaits the culinary enthusiast. The tranquil bedrooms promise a restful night’s sleep, while the light and airy living room invites you to unwind, whether you’re losing yourself in the sweeping sea views or cosying up around the wood burner on cooler evenings. The patio is the perfect spot for enjoying a sundowner and stargazing under the moonlight, with the distant Wicklow Hills of Ireland visible on clear days.

Ffynnon Wdig’s prime location puts you just over a mile away from Abereiddi Beach, a gateway to numerous coastal walks and unspoiled scenery. Explore the pristine beaches of the area, and don’t miss a visit to Porthgain harbour, home to a renowned pub, an award-winning bistro, and two impressive art galleries.

Outside
Grounds – fields and lawns with a patio area for enjoying alfresco dining.
Within the cottage’s grounds lies a holy well where pilgrims would bathe en route to St Davids and leave offerings. On the site there also stood a Celtic church which was mentioned in the medieval Black Book of St Davids.

Natural environment. Please be aware there is a shallow vegetated natural pond and an ancient well (covered) in the grounds.

Location Set just over a mile away is Abereiddy Beach and the famous Blue Lagoon
3 Bedrooms 1 Kingsize bedroom with door to veranda, 1 Double and 1 Twin, all on 1st floor. Take care in the Bedrooms and landing - there are open beams and crossmembers
2 Bathrooms Family bathroom upstairs. Shower room and separate toilet on ground floor
Wood Burning Stove Welcome pack of logs provided for your first night. Information booklet at the property lists where you can buy logs and firewood.
Parking Ample parking for 2/3 cars
Grounds Patio area with table and chairs, open grassed area/lawn for guests. Please be aware there is a shallow vegetated natural pond and an ancient well (covered) in the grounds.

What a fantastic week. Lovely house in a great location. We were lucky to watch a couple of hundred swallows & martins gathering on the wires before migrating. Would recommend a trip to Ramsey Island and the walk from here to Porthgain

Lovely stay, lucky with the weather, great walks, lovely beaches, kayaking, climbing & surfing. Shed at Porthgain is great as is Pizza Shack at Coastal Campsite 1 mile down the road.
