Glanhafan is an ideal base for exploring this stunning area of Pembrokeshire
Located in the picture-perfect Pembrokeshire village of Solva, you are right on hand to soak up the beautiful coastal scenery just minutes walk away from your holiday door.

It’s a 5-minute walk down to the harbour and pubs/restaurants of Lower Solva. Try your hand at crabbing on the quayside – its one of the best crabbing spots in Pembrokeshire. At low tide there is a small beach to enjoy or walk round to the Gwadan, the next bay. For meals out, there is a lovely gastro pub in the village, The Cambrian, or try fresh seafood at Café 35 by the harbour. The best crab sandwiches are served fresh each day at The Old Pharmacy. Mamgu’s is the place to head for Breakfast or a delicious welsh cake and a coffee. The village also has a number of local pubs and independent shops.

Nearby St Davids is only a 7-minute drive away and has a good selection of eateries including 2 restaurants for dinner. It is also home to the majestic St Davids Cathedral, the reason why this tiny village has now been named a ‘City’. You can easily enjoy a day in St Davids wandering the local shops and art galleries, taking time to explore the Cathedral and medieval Bishops Palace. Be sure to try the local ice cream at The Bench Ice Cream parlour. Freshly made each day – it’s easy to see why people queue to get a taste – well worth the wait.

Whitesands Beach is one of the most stunning on the Pembrokeshire Coast. It is sandy Blue Flag beach with plenty of parking and easy access. There is a Beach Café, public toilets and plenty of places to hire surfboards and deckchairs. The sunsets here are amazing. You can easily spend the whole day here relaxing on the beach or take a walk out on the coastal path towards the rocky headland St Davids Head. 3 miles to the east of Solva is Newgale Beach. This is a 3-mile sandy beach, which is great for surfing. There is a fish & chip van here most days – perfect for supper on the beach with one of Newgale’s famous sunsets.

Glanhafan is conveniently located yards from the Coastal Path, it is ideal for exploring this stunning coastline on foot, the bird and wildlife will amaze, as will the sea views to the islands of Skomer and Ramsey. Take advantage of the Puffin Shuttle to catch a lift back from longer walks.
