Set down a quiet lane just outside St Davids, Penlan Farmhouse is one of two semi-detached stone cottages. It has a timeless decor using natural materials to bring the outside in, while retaining a cosy feel.
Penlan Farmhouse is well appointed and has all you need to ensure a perfect staycation.
Set on a yard that was previously used for farming, the calming tones and rural surroundings will ground you from the moment you walk through the door. Enjoy views over fields to Carn Llidi, and wander down the hill to explore the UK's smallest city.
The heart of the farmhouse is the well-equipped farmhouse kitchen/diner, where the cleverly designed inglenook provides a snug, perfect for reading or enjoying a glass of wine. A separate lounge provides a wood burner, so while it is spacious enough to gather the family, it stays cosy on chilly evenings. On warmer days, head out to the large garden with a patio area for BBQs and garden games.
Penlan Farmhouse enjoys a fantastic spot a stone's throw from St Davids, and a rural setting you'll want to return to, year after year.

Lovely house, host gave great instructions and although we didn’t need to contact they were right there if we needed to. It’s an old farmhouse but the interior is nice and the location is quiet. It’s big enough for 2 adult couples plus 4 children and space for infants as well so could easily sleep 10-12.

Explore More of Nr. St Davids
Located on the fringe of the city in a peaceful rural setting, Penlan House is a quiet retreat, yet only a short 10 minute walk from St Davids Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. From here, walk up the 'Pebbles', and discover all that Britain's smallest city has to offer, including shops, galleries, restaurants and local pubs. Venture down to St Non's Chapel, the birthplace of St David, and pick up the coastal path. Head east to Solva Harbour, or west to Porthclais, passing the many coves and headlands that look out to Ramsey Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Head down to Whitesands Bay for the evening, just a 10 minute drive, to enjoy a beach BBQ while watching the sun setting over St Davids Head.
