Built in 1882, Captain’s House is one of a terrace of Coastguard houses, also known as Royal Terrace. As soon as you enter the front door, you know that Captain’s House will be a fantastic St. Davids retreat. There are two living rooms as you enter the property providing space for both children and adults alike– a more formal sitting room to the front and a cosy snug to the rear of the property with log burning stove, Smart TV and plenty of books to indulge in. The basement is home to the very well-equipped kitchen complete with Smeg Range Cooker and dining area.
The bedrooms are located from the first floor upwards. In total there are 5 double bedrooms, 2 with ensuites and 2 further bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom on the top floor enjoys beautiful views from the dormer windows – open them up and soak up the vista over the Bishops Palace, the St.Davids countryside and to the distant sea beyond. Here there is also an ensuite bathroom and a private staircase leading to a study area for those that need some quite space to work.
The enclosed, secluded garden is great for alfresco dining with table, chairs and BBQ. It is set slightly away from the house along a shared access path. The property benefits from a parking space across the road – a rare treat for central St.Davids properties, and a car park pass is provided for a further car for the car park at Quickwell Hill, just 30 yards away. Captain’s House is a wonderful base for friends and family from which to explore the St.Davids Peninsula – sure to be a firm favourite amongst repeat visitors to Britain’s Smallest City.
