The area is stunning, whatever the season, and pretty Dairy Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore it.
There are a number of glorious walks right from your doorstep across the fields to Tretio or to the local ‘mountain’ Penberi or drive a mile or two from your holiday door and head out on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Days exploring the Coast here are just magical.
St Davids and all its treasures are just a 7 minute drive away (3 miles). Take time to explore the stunning Cathedral and medieval Bishops Palace, or wander around the shops and art galleries. There are plenty of eateries to choose from here for lunch or an evening meal and many are dog friendly too.
If the beach is calling, it is just a 10 minute drive to the beautiful Blue Flag Beach at Whitesands Bay. Head here at low tide for stunning walks across the beach and up to St Davids Head - sunsets here are always very special too.
The harbour village of Porthgain is also just a 10 minute drive away. There’s a lovely walk from here over to Abereiddy and the Blue lagoon. Time your walk to be back in Porthgain for lunchtime and enjoy the area’s best fish and chips at The Shed Bistro.
Another lovely village in the opposite direction is Solva - 15 minutes away. Enjoy walks by the harbour here and stop for a morning coffee at the Yacht Club and watch the comings and goings of the boats and yachts whilst admiring the views.
