Pen y Banc really is a terrific house for a family gathering or celebration or a group of friends who simply need an excuse to get together. It’s excellent location just above Solva village means you are within easy access to the Coastal Path and all that Solva has to offer.
Solva boasts gastro pubs, restaurants and charming and quirky coffee shops, along with the traditional locals watering holes.
The downhill walk to the harbour will certainly be worth it – however please remember that what goes down must come up – a short taxi ride is suggested for the smaller/older members of the family. Kis will certianly love Solva’s tidal harbour and beach, especially crabbing on the harbour walls.
Just 3 miles away or an 8 minute drive is the charming city of St Davids with its magnificent Cathedral, medieval Bishops Palace and lots of lovely shops and galleries.
However, if a day building sandcastles on the beach sounds more appealing, the extremely popular sandy beaches of Whitesands and Newgale are a short car journey away.
