Welcome to Secret Retreat, St Davids

St Davids Escapes are thrilled to welcome Secret Retreat to our portfolio – a semi-detached single level St Davids holiday cottage.

Tucked away in a peaceful road just a short stroll from the Cross Square, this modern three-bedroom property offers a quiet escape from St Davids Life but within easy walking distance of the pubs and restaurants and also nearby Caerfai Beach and the scenic Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Once inside the special home from home, the hallway leads through to the spacious and very social open plan living area. Here you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, ideal for cooking up a holiday treat, with a large dining area and big comfortable sofas to relax in of an evening. The large glass doors open out to the enclosed garden and paved patio area – perfect for outdoor breakfasts or evening meals when the weather is kind. There is also desk for those who need to work whilst here and a practically perfect utility area for the dog to sleep.

There are 3 beautiful bedrooms to choose from each with ensuite bathrooms – meaning everyone can have their own space and a haven of calm.

Secret Retreat is a single level house. There is 1 step up to access the front door.

Days out from Secret Retreat are plentiful. The stunning Coastal Path is just 15 minutes walk away and a choice of glorious sandy beaches are only a short drive away.

From your holiday door you are right in the heart of St Davids. Discovering the cafes, shops and galleries is easy from Secret Retreat. The magnificent St Davids Cathedral and ruined Bishops Palace are well worthy of a morning’s adventure.

Nearby Whitesands Bay is arguably the most scenic of the beaches and is superb for surfing. Be sure to time your visit for when the tide is low to be sure of having plenty of beach to play on. If you’re feeling energetic climb to the top of the mountain of Carn Llidi and enjoy the breathtaking, panoramic views. Reward yourself with a hot chocolate or ice cream at Whitesands Beach Café afterwards. Golfers will enjoy St Davids 9-hole Golf Course with its beautiful views over Whitesands!

Take to the water and try your hand at Coasteering, or enjoy one of the fabulous boat trips from St.Justinians and head off to explore the marine and birdlife around Ramsey Island – look out for the seals, dolphins and porpoises.

Heading up the coast road to Porthgain you’ll discover a wonderful harbour village with a fantastic pub and Fish and Chip bistro or spend a relaxed afternoon in Solva – a tiny bustling village by the coast with a lovely selection of cafes and pubs. Stop for a while and try your hand at crabbing off the harbour wall, fun for all ages!
